Hi folks,
I have set some eggs in the incubator and I am a first-time hatcher, having previously left the whole thing to my broody hen

I want to monitor the eggs and the temperature and humidity closely and hopefully learn a lot from this hatch so if I do it again, I will get even better at it!

I have made up a chart, after gathering information on BYC, and wondered if more experienced people would look it over and give me some feedback. I am sure there is lots of room for improvement, and I can tweak it once I have some suggestions and also corrections in case I have got anything wrong. For example, I am not sure if the candling days are right.

I am happy if anybody wants to use it for themselves (once it is finished). I have set 9 eggs so it is geared around this number but of course any number can be reflected on the chart. I am using an incubator with no turner, so have to turn manually.

I hope the link works (pdf format).

Many thanks!!

Your chart looks good. I generally just use a notebook to keep track of temp and humidity and I tend to candle eggs on day 9 and 18 but it looks like your set up we work just fine. Good luck

thanks seahoob - do you think I should change the candling days?

Of course realistically i will have to sit on my hands to prevent myself from candling EVERY day!!! lol
