My Hen’s comb is scabbed up. Can someone tell me the cause?

Hi! So recently, I’ve noticed my nearly 1 year old hens, (their birthdays are may 10th), are having comb issues. On 1 hen especially. I have pictures. They look scabbed up and have black bits on them. The other three hens only slightly have this problem but our lavender orpington seems to have it the worst. The other three only have slight black scabbing in some spots, whereas our orpington has almost a yellow tinge in some areas. The hens themselves seem healthy and just fine. Does anybody know what this is? Thank you.

Do you have a rooster? If so, is she a favorite? Is there any places (fencing, nails, used building materials, etc.) that she could be scraping her comb on? Where is she in the pecking order?

To me, her comb looks injured. You can clean it by laying a damp towel on it until the blood loosens up enough for you to wipe it off. Because she's got that other color going on there, for safety measures, I'd spray Neosporin (watch the eyes) on the injured part of her comb. Other than that, her comb should heal naturally on it's own without interference. If a rooster or bullying is an issue, separating her until her comb heals might be something you should do.
