Hi, I have a couple videos I’m trying to upload here but am not having any luck. I could email or imsg someone who can. Anyone know?
Anyway. I bought 20 pallet chicks about 6 months ago and been adding a few more here and there. I’ve been removing roosters as soon as I can I’d them. Last week I removed a large and a juvenile rooster both on the same day. A few days later I heard crowing coming from the henhouse and looked at a large grey hen. I’m 98% sure it’s a hen. Shape size everything. If anyone wants to try and upload these 2videos private message me.

Determining gender is definitely not my forte and I even get it wrong with my own on occasions. However, I do have a definite hen [lays eggs] who crows. Anyways, you could try posting some pictures on the Breed or Gender Forum for opinions.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

If you would like to share more pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Welcome to BYC! Probably a better place to put this would be in the What Gender or Breed forum. You might get better luck. I think you would have to upload your video to YouTube to post it. Could you just take some pictures of the chicken?
 
Hi and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us. As rightly pointed out, videos must first be posted on selected platforms before they can be uploaded (including You Tube). Don't be too alarmed if you cannot do it until you have made a few posts - that may be due to security protocols of BYC.
