My hen hates me.

Everything was fine for the last 4 1/2 months. my 4 bantam heans would run to see if i brought any treats for them whenever i came thru the door. I would love on all of them, and vice versa.
But for the past few days, my Mink has been getting really snitty with me. If i pick her up, she bites and twists my skin! And when i don't pick her up, she comes over and pecks my feet, very aggressively! When i shoo her away with my foot, she comes back all puffed up, and ready to fight? WTH?
So tonight, after she drew blood on my hand, i picked her up and held her upside down, while taking her back to the coop.
Why is she doing this?
I don't even think she's the dominant hen in the group?!

She may be what others have described as an Alpha hen. Have they started laying eggs? Mine became a bit testier than normal before they started laying eggs...Maybe a puberty thing.. A pubescent teen girl will try to take your hand off too. Might you be able to just go spend time sitting with them without having to pick them up? Just be near them...But I am no hen expert LOL

i think she may have tried to make up this morning. As i sat outside with my coffee and paper, she jumped up into my lap and snuggled down. She hasn't done that in a long while...
