My hen is ill. What is this lump?

I came home and found my 2 year old Americauna hen walking hunched up kind of like an eagle. Her wings were slightly raised. I went in to my pen and picked her up. I found a lump on her abdomen. The picture below is of the lump. I did some research and am thinking this could be ascites. She acts normal other than her slight hunch and flew up to her roost. Any information and advice I can get would be appreciated. I don’t want her to suffer but I’d hate to put her down if I can treat it. I don’t have a good poultry vet in my area.

She does not have any problems laying.

Yes, that looks pretty enlarged. When she is relaxed, it is tight like a drum, firm, spongy or soft? Enlarged abdomens can be a sign of ascites, or a reproductive disorder, such as impacted oviduct, salpingitis, internal laying, or egg yolk peritonitis. Does she lay pretty regularly, and are her eggs normal and hard shelled? Ascites can be from heart or liver failure, or egg yolk peritonitis. Has she lost weight recently, and is she eating and drinking normally?

It’s soft and a little squishy. She eats and drinks normal. Since my hens lay during the day while I’m not home, it’s hard to say if she lays, but I haven’t seen any soft shelled and/or abnormal eggs. She hasn’t lost any weight.
