my hen is missing

Agh... my barred rock hen, Screamer, is missing. Day 2. Our chickens free range all day and nest in the barn at night. She was missing mid day yesterday and no sign of her today either. The rest of the flock is here.

Screamer is the only henwe have that had gone broody. She even hatched 2 chicks this spring. I was solooking forward to her hatching more next year..

We are bummin at tne farm.

Have you looked everywhere? I have a friend who lost a hen this spring and about 3 weeks later she showed back up with 8 little ones behind her!!! Maybe she has a hidden nest somewhere!

I wouldnt be surprised if she comes strolling back with a chick or two.
