My Hen is not laying in the nesting boxes

my 5 1/2 month old Rhode island red hen is not using the nesting boxes we have tried changing the materiel in the nesting boxes. we have fake eggs in the nesting boxes but she still is not laying. What should I do?

They like a fairly dark and secluded spot. Where is she laying her eggs? outside or in the coop bedding?
