About 3 weeks ago my cuckoo Maran fell ill. Her comb went limp, her tail went down, she stopped eating and drinking and she had diahorrea. I separated her from the others and feared the worst. After a couple of days I managed to tempt her to a few treats and she returned to drinking her water. Her poo returned to normal and I let her join the flock. It has now been a good 10 days and she still seems sad. She is slow to come out on a morning, goes to bed early keeps herself to one side away from the others and never gets excited about the treats I give her. Her red comb has now gone pale. What can I do to help her?

! Great to have you aboard but sorry to hear about your lethargic hen. How old is she? You might try posting in the link below - someone maybe able to advise you!

Thanks, its good to chat to other chicken enthusiasts!! She is only coming up to a year old. Her sister became broody at the same time as her falling ill but I have sorted her out and she is back into lay.
