My hen strains to lay her egg lately

I tried posting yesterday and would surely appreciate some help. First, I'd like to state that my hen is not egg bound from what I've read. She is laying beautiful, perfect eggs near daily. The problem is that lately (not always) she strains to lay. It takes her several hours on the nest and she cries and pushes the whole time. Afterward she's fine, she eats great, has the same personality and her poop is fine. It just seems to really hurt her when she lays. Is this a problem? Will she grow out of it? She is smaller than her hatchling sisters but her eggs might be too large for her to pass comfortably? I just need to know if it's hurting her or not.

Thanks, I feel like I might be over reacting but she just seems so uncomfortable. I don't want her to hurt herself.
