My hen walks funny

Good morning from Augusta GA! We are new at raising these wonderful creatures and yesterday we completed our first dozen eggs! Whooohoooo! I do have a question though. I have a hen who walks so funny! About 3 weeks ago she started taking very deliberate steps....raising each leg high and letting her toes rub her belly with each step. Very odd! any ideas?

Sounds like she is just exaggerating walking. If she shows no other symptoms and she is getting around alright, I'd say she's ok:

2 of my one year old blue Andalusians walked exactly like that for a while and then they quit, I never did found out why they did it or what caused them to do it. All I know is that they are all right, they are laying and acting normal. No worries.

I've had a few do it too over the years, seems to be a dominant thing, usually the chicken is mumbling to herself as well, maybe they are deep in thought and can't multitask.
