My rhode island red was fine and healthy until yesterday afternoon. After I came home from work I noticed she wasn't acting herself. She laid around a lot and when I went to catch her didn't freak out. I put her into quarantine since I didn't know what she had. I observed her and assumed she was eggbound. I gave her a warm soak to help pass the egg but she seized and died right there.
I don't know what was wrong with her but I don't want the rest of my flock to get it. She did have a yellow runny poop. Is there anything I can do to prevent my other chickens from this fate?
