My hens chicks

When will my hen decide to take her chicks out. They have been under her for 2 days. I am just curious.

I dunno. Seems like mine have always had them out and about before 3 days, but it's been a couple of years since I experienced it.

I'll bump you up, though, so someone who knows can answer...

the third day they were scuttling about outside.

They start out by taking them off the nest for a very short time for food and water and then they gradually stay off the nest longer and longer.
