My hens won't lay.

I know if they have been scared or anything they won't. Well a month or so ago snakes got in the pen so I didn't think they would lay for like a week or so. But it is going on like 5 or 6 weeks. What can I do to get them to lay. Help. Please.

The snake wouldn't keep them from laying this long. How hot is it where you live? Mine have slowed way down and a few are molting. One of my RIR's who is a very regular layer just laid an egg today after two solid weeks of nothing. Molting, heat stress and other things can be the cause.

Are you sure the snake isn't eating the eggs and leaving??

The snakes were removed form here. I haven't seen anymore here. It has been in the 90s so it has been really hot. But I don't get any eggs. I am just not sure what to do.

How old are your hens and what kind do you have? The heat seems to be the blame for a lot of people.
