Yay! I'm excited for you too. What kind did you get? Are you setting it up today?

When are you getting the eggs and what kind?

We borrowed one from a neighbor and have 5 eggs in it now. We have 1 week more to go.

Good Luck! and have fun!

Thanks for the cheers guys! I got a digital sportsman 1502 and yes it's up and running (testing to be sure it works) I have my bantam Ameraucana's coming that I won in an auctions plus a friend of mine has eggs coming so I can hatch hers for her

They should both be here Friday (fingers crossed) could be later but hope not. Then I ordered LF BBS ameraucanas and going to order Barnavelders soon.

I can't wait to get the eggs in the bator. OH and my d'uccle hen FINALLY started laying again so three-four of her eggs are going in there

how easy was it to set up?
Do you just have to plug in, press a button, add water, and voila?
I'm still trying to decide which incubator to buy, so I'd love to know all about your experience with this one. Ease of use is my main concern!

for what its worth.....you should place in the incubator the same amount of store eggs as you have coming to hatch. Tweak the temp and humidity after 12 hours till you get it nailed.
That way you wont have any temp swings when your hatching eggs get there.
Empty bators behave differently from full ones.

Good luck!

What a great suggestion. I noticed too, that we've had to watch and adjust for a bit when we put the eggs in.
