Hi...

My incubator fan burned last night due to man power failure from bad weather, this is my first time hatching chicken eggs and this morning upon noticing a some chick-let chirps i saw that some egg shells has little holes in them and the chicks is ready to hatch and than only i saw my fan is off.

Can i hatch without the fan or should i do a straight connection to a power outlet?

Please help very urgent!!!!

that is great to hear it is the best to see a chick hatch i have three chicks in the brooder that i hatched back in jan. its so much fun to watch them hatch and then hatch them grow good luck with your hatch keep us updated

Just one last Q guys... With my temp set to 100F... Won't the chicks suffocate with the 24h after hatching

One concern is if the incubator is designed with that fan in mind, the heating element and heating chamber may depend on the fan to keep the thing cool enough. Keep an eye for melting plastic, burning smell, etc. The fumes from the plastic can kill birds crazy fast.

Ok... I didn't have any of that through the night... Some chicks started to hatch but seems like it died.

Can i remove the chicks that is strong enough as my space in the incubator is a bit confined. It has almost been 24 hours since the first batch hatched and my infrared lights is set up and ready.
