(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
No, I am not new. I got my first six chicks when I was twelve!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
103
(3) What breeds do you have?
Too many to name here reasonably, but I'll put down four: Buff Orpingtons, Booted Bantams, Brahmas, Turkens
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Watching them, for sure! I will often spend 10+ hours outside a day with my chickens during the spring and summer and give myself sunburn (yes, very stupid of me).
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy making art, creating my own coop designs, listening to music and studying in my free time!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have exotic reptiles, amphibians, four dogs, a cat, and ducks. I am autistic, and my main special interest is dinosaurs (extant and extinct). Also bird genetics are SUPER cool!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I had an account eons ago but I cannot remember my login and no longer have access to the email, so I figured I may as well make a new one. I first heard about it years ago on reddit, however.
