(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I got my first chicken in February of this year. I ended up getting my second chicken in April.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have two very lovely chickens.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have one chicken that (I think) is half frizzle and silkie. The other is a White Plymouth Rock Chicken.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I just love my chickens a lot. They're what keep me up with a routine so my day doesn't blend. I enjoyed raising them and I enjoy spending time with them.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Crocheting, reading, and occasionally drawing.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I don't really have much to say. I coddle my chickens a lot and carry them in my arms. They don't seem to mind because I got them used to it at a young age. They also know I'm not going to hurt them, so that's a plus!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I've known about BYC for a while due to googling chicken tips a couple of months ago. I'm still extremely new to taking care of chickens, so I wanted to ask some tips of my own. Mostly because my chickens are very picky eaters and I need to find something that they'll eat. Without picking out the stuff they don't like, of course.
I added a picture of my chickens. They're only in a cage because I haven't built or bought a chicken coop yet. They spend most of their time outside and roaming around the house, don't worry!
