My Jersey Giant roo started crowing today!

He is about 6 months old and crowed for the first time today!

He started trying to mate recently, but never made a sound (other than his normal crumbles and bawks). This morning I heard an odd crow...a little deeper than normal. Wen I walked outside, he was at the fence crowing!

He's got eh teenager crow right now, of course, but it sure is deep (as I was told the JG roos have). He's got all the right syllables, it's just kind of slurred together. It's gonna a be beautiful when he is all grown up!

Woohoo!! Congrats !! I love to hear our JG boys crow. It's very loud and deep. Just wait, they get much better.
