My little Tuppence

This little lady hatched out yesterday, although i was worried about her the firs 24 hours the last 3 she has been a noisy little playful chick. her hatchmate unfortunately had difficulties and passed away leaving just little Tuppence. shes now in a shoe box with her brooding light and food and has spent most the time trying to get out and snuggle on my chest.

I would urge you to try to find her a few chicks for companionship, chickens are very social animals and really do better if kept with others. They need the company of their own kind. You might search out your state thread in the Where am I - where are You section of the forum and ask if anyone has a few spare chicks, or try a farm supply store.

Heya thankyou, had I not had others due to hatch I would have done. She now is the boss of 7 other little munchkins hehe
