My male quail won't eat earth worms

X2 I would discourage eating of earthworms. They carry Tape worms and you don't want this.

x2, They carry blackhead (histomoniasis) too!

A good male who has a harem will give the choicest treats to his hens. He will tidbit just like a rooster, so he may be being polite. Earthworms can carry gapeworm too. Stick with mealworms as buggy treats. Sprouted alfalfa and sunflower seeds are always appreciated too.
