I started raising mealworms a few months ago. I have them on chicken feed for bedding and keep either potatoes, carrots or apple in there for moisture. They all turned to beetles and then I started seeing worms but now it seems as though all I have is beetles. Anyone know what could be going on? I had started with 500 mealworms and have only taken out 20-30 to feed my chickens as I noticed I did not seem to be getting any more as quickly as I thought I should.
