Hi my chicken people
I absolutely adore this site. Every time I would type any question into Google about the chickens I would get my answer from this site. So it only made sense I joined in on the fun.
-I have had my flock for about a year and a half. My first batch was hard I lost a few. It was definitely a learning curve especially living in Florida where it is so hot all the time.
-Right now I have eight chickens. I have six hens, one rooster, and one baby that I hatched less than a week ago and I could not be more excited/proud about that little guy!
-honestly I’m not sure about all my breeds, but that’s what I’m looking for some help with from everyone’s knowledge I know my rooster is a black silkie, I have one Orpington, two brown leghorns and everyone else is a mystery. I will put pictures of my mystery chicks below if you feel like helping me with this mystery.
-my other hobbies are gardening, street bikes, painting.
- I also have two cats and one dog. My dog is a pit bull that absolutely loves chickens, especially the babies.
All of you have been so nice, and I enjoy having a place to share my hobby with people that share the same interest.
The all grey chicken, the all black, and the black and brown are my mystery’s

Maybe a blue Andalusian for the blue one? The black one maybe Black Australorp. Not sure on the rest. And welcome! Do you have pics of the pit?

I think you might be right on the blue Andalusian that was my guess but I wasn’t sure. And the black austalorp seems to be right too. Your awesome, thank you.
Of course I have pictures of him, probably too many his name is panda.
