My miracle baby

Baby duckling is almost a week old and I'm momma!! This baby was supposed to be a fertile egg. HE/she traveled with the rest of the fertile eggs from Oregon to California via post office, and I got it incubated for two days before it hatched. I had candled and it looked suspiciously dark so I had marked it. Two days later I was checking the eggs again when I heard a chirping and saw the pip. It wasn't *due* for another 28 days!! LOL

Owwwe...... she turned out cute! Here is a photo of some of her should-of-been litter-mates. Please keep me (us) updated with pictures, I'm really curious what she turns out like (or "he" I guess)

I am enjoying her so much. Wish I had a couple of her siblings to keep her company though. I try to be surrogate for them and enjoy playing, but I'm too old to play momma hen!! LOL
