Well I collect eggs every morning from my ducks and have been saving them for my grandma for when she gets back from PA with my great grandma.

Went out to change the water, came back in and there was a pan FULL of eggs. Seems she decided she would scramble a dozen for the dogs.

I only have one duck laying an egg a day, another has just started and ive collected three from her although they are small.

I love my mom and my dogs, but she could have asked first! Even though my egg production has just doubled with my other duck laying, I dont appriciate her taking MY eggs and using them when I was saving them for my grandma who uses the shells as ornaments and then eats the eggs.

I just feel like my privacy was invaded since she is all " you dont need more girls, we dont have a need for all those eggs" and then she goes and the few eggs I had she scrambled!

Yeah, this is a small rant but im just...

Well Im keeping the four girls and giving the four boys away.

I told her about shipping the eggs off as fertile incubator babies and as food and she was all " No, do you know how much it costs to ship eggs?!"

I mean most people on here pay for the shipping as well as the eggs right? Mothers!

Hide your eggs but don't forget where you put them.....Smile....(I had a friend who forgot where she hid her hatching eggs and boy,,,,,he forgot tooo long..........phewee)

Since you are in Alabama, what kinda ducks do you have, I'm just over the line....I could hatch them for you and then you could visit me....and say to mom,,,,look what I found on the side of the road.....I'd put them there for you....

I have little baby goslings and I just adore them!

I have a buff duck and another duck ( either cayuga, magpie, or black swed, not sure who the little egg layer is. she has TINY eggs)

Then my males include a mallard, mallardxbuff, and a domestic bibbed mallard. I have no trouble with my broody hatching em out, its just finding homes for them after wards!

I want a goose or a moscovy * sigh* i need a BIGGER yard...

Don't you just love it when people take it upon themselves to "help". Nothing aggravates me more!!!

My kids have it DRILLED into their heads that if it doesn't belong to you DON"T TOUCH IT!!!! If my kids broke my eggs they would pay me out of their bday/Christmas/allowance money or work it off to pay me back. Same as if they went into the feed room and wasted my feed (dd was bad about it). I also charge every kid $2 each if they leave the hose on in the yard. Now they run to shut it off if the 3 yr old turns it on!!

Didn't take long to learn that water costs money!! It costs a lot of money in electricity to run the pump.

My dh doesn't even touch my eggs. He knows the only eggs that are ok to touch are in the fridge
