Hello to all!

My Muscovy just laid 3 eggs and even though they are in an nice shed with a heat lamp, it is still not very warm.
I adore my ducks and I’m terrified they will freeze because these are her first eggs!
Should I bring them inside and warm them until I can get an incubator?
I can’t seem to locate mine anywhere and I have no idea if they are fertilized yet due to it being only day 1.
I am still learning and only had my 3 ducks for 8 months which I successfully incubated and hatched, but this was my first time,So naturally I’m worried sick.
Any advice on what to do would be so helpful!

Kindly,
Amy

You can bring them inside and keep them at room temperature for several days, until you can get an incubator. DO NOT attempt to keep them warm, unless you can ensure they stay at 99.5-deg-F consistently. Or, you could just let the muscovy set them - she will keep them at her body temperature.

I put them in my old homemade incubator 45 minutes ago. It has a mini humidifier in it and the eggs are wrapped in a heated blanket in an airtight tub.
Mom doesn’t want to sit, maybe because she’s young.
Is it to late to keep them at room temperature after I have already warmed them?
The temp. is 99.3 currently.
Thank you so much!

I wouldn't remove them now, after being warmed. Temperature fluctuations are not good for them. Just monitor temperature and humidity closely, and turn them several times a day. You said the tub was airtight; you might want to cut an airhole or two for ventilation. They need that.
