My almost 8 month old muscovy has been laying eggs for 3 days now and I had a couple of questions. My first question is, when do muscovys go broody? Do they normally start before they lay their eggs or do they start when they are about to sit. My second question is directed to those of you who sell ducklings. I really want to let her sit on the eggs and hatch then but I do not have room for anything other than more female. So how do you guys take away the ducklings so that the mother and the ducklings arent traumitized by the situation?

She will lay most her eggs before she sits. Removing the ducklings she hatches could be a job

They tend to get a little fussy when you mess with them.
Removing them just depends on if you are going to let her raise them or not.
I personally cant tell male from female for the first couple weeks.
