My New Babies

Two days ago I got my two Embden geese in the mail. They are just about the cutest things ever! I can't seem to find our digital camera, but I took some pictures with my phone. The lighter one (male) Is Ricky and the other is Lucy


Their favorite place is on my shoulder or in my hair


Ricky they day I got them. He wasn't particularly pleased right then


Under my chin again. When they're sitting here I am not permitted to laugh, move my head or hands, or breathe incorrectly.


My hound dog has this thing with baby animals. He thinks they all belong to him. It's adorable how gentle and attentive he is.

I have 2 adult Embdens and it is hard to remember how small they were. Thank you for bringing back the memories. They grow so fast. Hope you love yours as much as I love mine.

Everyone in our house is already nuts about them. Even my mother can't resist cuddling and baby talking them. They're ridiculously sweet I'm already smitten with them. They're like my ducks, only my ducks ran away from me from day one and they'll follow me to the ends of the earth if I let them.

I just got my first geese about a week ago. Mine are white Chinese. I got them for their foraging ability to (hopefully) help me weed my garden.
