After a week and a half, I finally finished my coop and run. Built all this for just under $700. 7x10 ft run that's 7-8 ft high. Coop is 3x7 2 ft from the ground.

Very cool. How well do your pullets manage getting down that ladder? I know mine at that age did not have the reach to make those steps and would rather fly from one rung to the next. Or just fly down to the ground from the top step. Looks nice. Love the louvered vents for circulation and deep shade underneath.

They can actually reach each step. But they prefer the jumping method. Haha.

They were shutters taken from inside my house. We had extra that we no longer needed. So we took it off. They were all white, but I accidently stained it instead of water proofing, so I decided to make it a darker color to get the coop darker inside.

Nice idea I love seeing items being repurposed. Nice job"

Awesome! That's a good deal for the size of that coop! When I first read this, though, I thought you said $7. That would've been a crazy awesome deal.
I shopped around a bit at home depot. Could have costed me more. I used 2x3 lumber instead of 2x4. Also they ran out of 4 ft hardware cloth, so I got galvanized stucco mesh wire for cheaper. And they were 8ft long, so minimal cutting involved and very strong. It was also cheaper.

Ohhh. That makes sense. Cool. It looks amazing. :thumbsup
