My new idea for a consolidated coop

Right now, I have 4 different pens for my chickens. There not really close and not really that well built. So I wanted to have all of them in one place for ease of use. Here are some drawings I came up with. Grant it, I'm not an artist or architect, but I did the best I could!!!! On the first one, its the view from the top. One cube equals 1 foot. I plan on having 5 standard hens and one rooster per pen for the 6 foot pens and for the 3 foot pens I'm gonna have banties (5 hens 1rooster). The run is in red and the row of pens will be 4 feet of the ground and the chickens will be able to get under the coops for shade/shelter. I'll have power and water to them and will have Linoleum on the floor.

This one is from the back. Its one pen and one cube is 6 inches.

Let me know what you think!!!! I know the drawings are crude but I have to get the idea on paper cause I'm not smart enough to do it from my head!!!!

It's a good layout, but I think you're getting too crowded.

I would cut it back to 4 large birds per pen.

You could do four large hens and a roo per pen if they are for breeding.

You know, after I posted this I got to thinking about space. I think I'll do what yall said and go with 4 hens and a rooster. Thanks guys!!!

jjd - Is that a trap door in the bottom of each room? Do you plan to simply duck under the coops and then stand up into the door? If so it's a pretty cool idea. Your layout looks pretty good to me. Yeah the space may be a little small but the chickens will adjust.
