i have a coop with 2 hens who are 4 years old. i recently added 3 pullets. everyone is getting along surprisingly well. the hens are laying and the pullets are eating, drinking and growing. haven't really seen any bullying or heard much squawking. the pullets roosted in their house at first but now roost on an outdoor roosting bar. its still covered by a roof, and its not freezing cold outside now. still, i'm a bit surprised. they seem happy enough. should i just let them find their own space and let sleeping chickens be?

Predators are always a concern. It they are sleeping in a secure run, you can leave them sleep where they want. If not I'd move them to the more secure coop.
