By the time I got my cage set up, I had fewer options to purchase quail. Long story short, I have a 26x72 inch cage, with the roof sloped from 10-14 inches. All enclosed in 1/2 HWC, a couple of areas with plywood and shade cloth, and a box and small plant pot to give them some security. They have dirt and pine pellets. The pine pellets are because I found out that it "CAN" rain sideways onto my covered patio, so I had to go a different route and build a cage so it can have a top on it. They were taking a dust bath even as I was cleaning the peat moss out of the car, from the transfer boxes I ended up not using.
