The lady at the farm and ranch store said these were ameracaunas, but we shall see? They do have the puffy cheeks and greyish legs. The dark one has obviously grey legs.

ChicknGurl .....absolutely CUTE alert!! The little one in the middle pic....the light one....is my favorite! CUTIES!!

They are so cute. a few of my ameraucans had pink legs til they were a month or so older. I had one really dark one too and it grew up to be mostly white. Thats the fun part of the breed, watching them change and not knowing what to expect. You should do like Barg did and follow up this post with pictures as they grow.

Updated pictures, the babies are approximately 3 weeks old:

justusnak: This one turned cross beak (scissor beak) on me.

It's also the one with the most personality aside from the RIR baby shown in the last picture.

Lurky: the dark one does appear to be turning white on me.

Order some Penetran for that baby and see if it helps. Apparently rubbing penetran I think twice a day on the side of the face can sometimes loosen the tendons and help out a crossbeak.
I sure wished I had read about it for mine in time. It was worth a try cuz she was such a character. It needs to be done when they are younguns.
