Melody.
Commonly called Mel, this Buff Orp rules the roost. She commands with an iron beak.
Buff Orps are teddy bears, right? Golden retrievers?
Yeah, right. Not this one.
She isn’t friendly, is the alpha hen, and is fat and sassy.
Lays big tan eggs. Is 8mos.
Pepper
This girl is the right-hand....erm....hen.
She’s a Dominique, and something special.
She was thought to be a boy for the longest time, till she squatted.
Now she lays nice pink-brown eggs.

Vanilla
This girl is constantly moving spots, but she considers 3rd her home base.
She’s an EE. Sweet, silly, smart, and pretty. She’s a cuddler.
She lays pale blue eggs, and was the last to lay.
June Bug
A funny EE. Beloved by some, hated by some. A semi-cuddler. Lays turquoise. Snazzy personality.
Pretty, too. Lays turquoise.
Salt
This girl was also thought to be male.
But now she lays.
I call her PC. Puppy-Chicken. She is super soft, moldable, and loves being cuddled.
Also a Dominique. 8mo.
Nutmeg
Last in the pecking order, she’s somehow the smartest.
Adorable, compact, lays tan, sweet.
A Speckled Sussex.
