My OEG's are lagging behind, is this normal?

I have a small mixed flock, one RIR, one cochin, one Dominique and two OEG crele all bantams. My first three all started laying this week but my OEG's don't even have full combs yet. Is this normal for that breed?

OEG are more for 'pretty' than for egg production. They mature slower and are frequently broody, but make up for all of that with their good looks.

Not so worried about getting eggs or I wouldn't have 5 bantams but wanted to be sure my girls are developing on track since this is my first flock.

@sourland you are so right! My OE were the slowest to lay and both went broody this year, lol
