I had a bout the worst hatch I have had since last year. I chalk it up to being in the hospital and not feeling well enough to pay attention much until now. I am better.
I started with 14 silkie eggs all clear but 5. thought sure after candling all would hatch but they didn't They had not even broken thru internal membrane and not absorbed yolk. I broke this one out as i could here it peeping on day 22. I need another blue so hopefully it will turn out well.
This is a little buff out of mine that hatched while I was in the hospital and my DH had no choice but to put it in with some larger chicks in the brooder. I noticed it was pasty this morn and so I brought it in and hope it can be a companion to the blue and the reds will be goi
ng to friends.
