I ordered 6 Americaunas and received 18 hatchlings. Six are very different looking, so I know they are the Americaunas or Easter Eggers and the other twelve are brown and black, all looking relatively alike. I don't know if they are male or female??? They were hatched May 25th. Is it too early to tell? Thanks for any info. Peg

The brown birds are Rhode Island Red roosters. The white and black Easter Egger is also a rooster.

You could post pics of all of the Rhode Island Reds just to make sure they're all roosters before you eat or give away or sell them. Usually the packing peanuts are roosters, but not always.

Im sorry yes, those are roos the percentage of a hatchery sending any pullets as packing peanuts are slim but it happens. I don't see any pullet RIR though in your photos:(

All of the Rhode Island Reds I can see are roosters. Sorry.

But, all of the Easter Eggers are pullets, except for the black and white rooster. I love the coloring on the two EE pullets in pic 2. They're so pretty!
