My Peas Stay out in there aviary all night long, though Rain Snow wind hot cold no matter what they sleep outside, they will venture in during the day and hang out for a while and then it's right back out side. Is this normal? At times I wonder Why I even have a coop for them.

It is expected at my place, they stay in the barn in the daytime if there is rain, snow, sleet, hail or high winds, but they get up in the trees every night no matter what the weather.

The other night I went out to check on them around 2 Am ( I was working and stopped home ) and it started to pour and the wind was blowing real hard and here they are just roosting on the tree like nothing is going on.

It use to freak me out cause i was afraid they would get blown out of the tree or break the limb they were on with all the extra water weight, but so far so good and we have had some terrible storms with rain and 40 mile an hour winds, they do sleep alot the next day , so holding on wares them out fo sure

My peas much prefer to be INSIDE all day until about dusk... I wish they'd go outside more because Owen is losing all of his train feathers. :(

Mine do seem to rather be inside during the day, they seem to head out in the later afternoon. They are getting more active they seem to be hopping around and playing a lot now.

Ours like to sleep outside also. I used to worry when the roosts inside were empty. If its not raining, they're all outside.

Mine sleep outside during the summer but they go into the shed at night in the winter by themselves. I just close the door when I get home from work. Right now all are in the breeder pens and there is no shed in them. Only the younger one can go inside the shed during summer months and half still chose to go inside.
