Ok so I currently have four chickens (a Polish rooster, a Thuringian rooster, a Silkie hen and a Pekin hen) and the silkie has recently started laying but the pekin hasn't started yet and lately I've noticed that she wanders around by herself and the others kind of chase her off..... anything I should be concerned about?
Thanks!

Hi there.
I think the reason that the pekin is being chased off
Is because she is probably the lowest in the pecking order.
This is the order of which hen/rooster is the most dominant one down to the lowest,
Every pen of chickens has one and usually the rooster is on top.
There is nothing to be worried about once she is still getting food and water.

2 hens and 2 roo's?  Poor hens....   I mean really, who wants to get bred 10=X a day?

Hi I rescued them from a school which was hatching eggs from an incubator.... once they'd hatched, the school hadn't known what to do! So I've taken them home and yesterday I just got 8 more hens who I'm slowly introducing:)
