Hi I am currently hatching pekings. I had 6 eggs put in on numerous days on a still incubator. The humitity about 55 percent till now(65-70). I was turning eggs manually. One that was day 24 pipped internally. I was going to lock down being the other few were right behind. Last night he was peeping alot and I knew it was over 24 hour period with no outer pip. This am no movement ,no sound , he was gone, candled and he was dead. Did duckectomy and he did not had enough room to pip so he suffercated. Humitity is now at 65-70 will my others makeit? I when candling one is starting to pip Internal. After 24 hours should I give him a safety hole,? Should I be spraying them?

:welcome

So you have had your humidity at 55% for the first 24 days, and now you have risen it to 65-70%. 55% seems way too high to me, which would have caused the air cell shrink, resulting in little air in it, so the duckling would have a limited amount of time before he would suffocate. Do your air cells look small or big?

The air cell looks kinda on the smaller side to me. That duck was very large.
They were also all in a carton little side down and I had taken him out and lied him on its side.. he was peeping last night. Now I'm have them all out of the carton. I honesty have a shit show. Two are in there from the 29 of March, two from the 30, one the 31and one April 5..the one that died was from the March 26being due this Thurs....it may be too late, but if you can help, I have four def still moving, two due this Sunday.

Sorry he didn't make it.

So you had 6 total, or did you mean you were putting in 6 a day to reach ....some multiple of 6 figure?

6 total March 26 to April 5 they range. Yes shoulda did more research. First hatch.

Ty so much! Wait till the internal pip?

Yes, after they internal pip, maybe put a hole after 15 hours, if the air cell is quite small. You can either use a Sharp brad point drill bit or a sterilized screw, gently twist back and forth directly above the air cell until the point enters the egg, do not widen the hole anymore or you risk premature drying out of the membrane.
