Has anyone here ever had any experience with these? I have an Easter Egger pullet (only 9 months old!) who has gone so determinedly broody on me that I decided to order half a dozen fertile eggs and let her sit. The cheapest and quickest option I could find was through My Pet Chicken. I just ordered their cheapest assortment, which was simply labeled "chicken hatching eggs". The shipment I received contained two eggs labeled as Olive Eggers (one very dark olive, one light blue-green), one labeled a Blue Birchen Marans, one labeled a Lemon Cuckoo Niderrheiner, and two labeled "Mad Scientist" (one is light blue and the other is a dark terra cotta, similar to a Welsummer or Marans egg). Aside from the Olive Eggers, I had never even heard of these breeds before, so I did a Google image search, and the BBM and LCN look really cool! I can't find much information about the "Mad Scientist" mixes, though, other than what is posted on the MPC website (https://www.mypetchicken.com/catalo...hing-Eggs-Mad-Scientist-Assortment-p2292.aspx). It looks like a got a pretty unique assortment, especially considering I ordered a last minute bargain buy just to get something here as soon as possible!

Has anyone ever had any experience with this "Mad Scientist" assortment from MPC? Any pictures of what your birds look like? I didn't really need any more chicks and will probably sell whatever hatches, unless I lose a bird before then, but I'm dying of curiosity!

I'm thinking just a crazy mix of crosses, sort of like a "mad scientist" making a lot of crazy mixes of chemicals. I may be wrong, I have no experience with chicken breeding at all, so I dunno, that's just my logically thinking brain thinks.
