I know My pet chicken is a hatchery and I now the silkies are pet quality. DO yall mind posting pics of your silkies from My pet chicken? I bought 6 splash hens from them and I am wonderin what quality they will be. The pics next to the splash breed is amazing. I dont think the pics are from there stock though. So, do yall find that there silkies quality are better than most hatcheries? And no, Im not expecting SQ birds just was curious.

Yeah cause if those were actually there stock, they would charge a lot. They dont even have chickens, they get their stock from other hatcheries. THey are just middle men so they dont even know that quality of there birds I dont think.

My Pet Chicken does not have any breeder stock. They order their birds from several hatcheries, including Ideal, McMurray, and others, so there is no one specific source or breeder their stock is coming from. The birds in the pics on their site do not belong to them. They go around to shows and take pics of birds and throw them up there advertising their birds with the pics of show birds. They just sell typical hatchery birds.

If MPC buys from other hatcheries, why can they offer bantam sexing when Ideal and McMurray only has straight run?

What I've heard is that MPC either gets chicks from Meyer, or rents incubator space from Meyer and buys the eggs from people in the area, and that they have their own sexer at Meyer.
