Usually you have to check the zoning and ordinance rules for the place you are moving to

This one is tricky, but the way the code is written it seems like if this duck is a pet and you keep it inside your house you are ok. Section 10-7 of the Lighthouse Point code of ordinances says basically domestic poultry cannot be kept in separate enclosures outside.
