My Polish bantam's first egg!

Just wanted to share my first egg(s)! I'm so excited! I adopted a Polish bantam (supposed to be about 6mo) August 23rd that I named Ella. Just after her quarantine and introduction to my flock of EEs (younger girls) went well, I moved them all to their new coop. Then she started laying!

Got my first egg ever from her back on the 4th! I'm so proud of her! She laid again on the 6th and then again today around 8pm at night. I was there for this third one and wow, I had no idea how loud their egg song is while laying!

My polish girl looks just like this. We began using a cheap electric razor to trim her feathers around the eyes. That way we don’t have to worry so much about an accident with scissors if she moves during her “haircut”
