My polish developed a beard!

I am new around here and stumbled upon this while looking around, she is glorious! I have a 9 week old buff laced polish and I know the breed stock she comes from has a chance of giving me a bearded and i am hoping for one. Seeing yours just makes me want one more! She is so beautiful!

Thank you all for complimenting my little bearded Frompkin. My mother has written the first draft of her children's book about her. The story is adorable, but will be a long time until publication. My mother is a photographer/artist who does collages out of photos, so the illustrations will be based on real pictures. I am commissioned with taking a picture of Frompkin roosting -- not an easy feat as it is dark at night in the coop, and flash is rather ugly. I failed to get a good shot tonight but will try again tomorrow evening. So glad I can count on my chooks for sweetness and entertainment in this crazy world.

Query: Frompkin has a very dirty crest. I think it dipped in watermelon. How do I wash it? Baby shampoo?
