My pullet is going to start laying???????

My pullet is 5-6 months old and today I seen she was try to lay egg or what but not in nesting box . There was red ball coming out off her bum and also poop but poop come out from side of ball or egg but after trying few time she start eating egg and ball get inside again
She was in egg laying position
Idk it’s egg or what
Help me it’s egg or what
It’s her first egg or ball

Did the "red ball" drop to the ground and that is what she was eating?

No it’s did drop to ground

Was there yellow inside the red ball?
If so, then it's a yolk that got released with the follicle still attached.
