/My chickens have always been good and never fought. The leader has always been my New Hampshire Red, Maple. Recently Maple and my Rhode Island White pullet Snow have been fighting. Both are girls, about the same age. Well I will give them food, Snow will not even mess with Maple, but Maple will go up to Snow and peck her face. Then Snow will run to the other side of the coop, and wont eat. So now I must feed Snow outside of the coop sometimes. Please help!
Also i have no roosters, only 4 pullets
400
that is Snow

Hens do have a pecking order. They are just figuring it out. Usually a hen will only fight over food when they feel there isn't enough. When it is plentiful, even the runt is allowed to eat, as it dwindles the head hen will begin to pick off the others if she thinks it necessary, try free feeding them by filling like a 3 gallon feeder. It will take several days for them to eat it all, and they will only take what they need.

thanks, but when I take them outside their coop they still fight. I tried a feeder like that, mold and bugs lived in the pipe.
