Also hi.
My quail always lays double eggs and she always does them so huge, almost 2 times bigger than a normal one!
Im kinda scared that egg binding will happen,if it happens how can i know it?
I dont know the quails age,but she's kinda big.
I feed them with pellets and some food from my garden(plants, seeds, flowers etc..)and bugs.
Please answer!

I have 2 birds that regularly lay doubles. They haven’t gotten egg bound, one is well over a year old. An egg bound bird will usually be fluffed up and lethargic a bit. They won’t be pooping. You can often feel the egg inside, I had an egg bound young hen last year, and the egg kept moving down to the vent, and she would strain strain strain, but no egg comes out. When I felt, the egg would be near the exit, but wouldn’t come out, and after she wasn’t pushing for a while it would slowly go back up higher. I soaked her in warm water and I put some oil at the exit for lubrication and moisture. Eventually I helped her push the egg out. She healed up and I had a buyer for some other hens, and I told her about that hen and asked if she wanted her for free, since a small group is an easier place to watch for issues. The lady took her and after several weeks I hadn’t heard back, and when I texted her she was doing fine. If your girl is regularly passing jumbos, her system is probably accustomed to it. It’s probably more likely that a hen who has never laid a huge egg will get egg bound when they get a random huge egg.
