Scenario - I had three buff silkies and one partridge (all hens) and two roosters - a buff and little Kazoo (lemon blue cochin/silkie). Kazoo hit puberty REALLY early and started mating before I could get him moved to another pen. My girls went broody and hatched out the eggs laid during that time and here are the results.
There are three that look like this, they're not buff, they're not white, they're a really odd egg shell color.
Then there's this one who has a coat of many colors. The picture doesn't do him justice, he seems burgundy, purple/lavender and grey.
I don't even know HOW this one happened. He also has a stripe at both eyes.
All of them have black skin and feathered feet and some of them have only four toes, or one has four toes on one foot and five on the other. They are just WEIRD and I'm sorry, they're ugly. They're free if you want them!
Here is a picture of Kazoo.
My hens and rooster never threw anything but buff color and occasional reddish.
THANKS!
