My roo Penguin

Also possible it's a Barbu D'Everburg, but wouldn't explain the rose comb.

(Sorry for the repeat answer here but I didn't want to look like I was ignoring anyone. I should've put the info in the post. My apologies!)

A neighbor gave him to me a couple days after he hatched and she isn't sure about the parents. Her best guess is that the mom was a black cochin, and dad a Silkie mix. None of her flock looks anything like Penguin though!

He’s gorgeous!!! Thanks for reaping, I didn’t see you answered someone else! Often I feel ignored one here, so thank you!

This is my 6 month old boy, Penguin. Puberty kicked in last month and he just gets goofier all the time. This week he has decided it's best eat from my arm or hand.

Edited to add info I added in the thread, regarding his breed: A neighbor gave him to me a couple days after he hatched and she isn't sure about the parents. Her best guess is that the mom was a black cochin, and dad a Silkie mix. He does have feathered feet. None of her flock looks like Penguin though!
Definitely a mix of a mix. Silkie is definitely part of it.

If the father was a black skinned bird, & he bred to a white, or yellow skinned bird, all male offspring would have white, or yellow skin, & females would have black skin. It's a Sex-linked crossing which doesn't seem to be what he is.

Thinking Silkie mother, & Cochin father. Just my best guess. Or he's just a Mix, of a mix like I said at the beginning.

Thank you so much for the info! I'm still pretty new at this and love to learn all I can.
