My Rooster has black stuff on his foot???

My 8 month old Buff Orpington rooster has black stuff on the bottom of his feet. I don't have a picture but I think its frostbite. What should I put on it??? Do you think it's frostbite???

Frost bite is black to . We got a hen from a man last year who lost all her toes and one of her feet. I would keep checking it if it starts to look bad. Put antibiotic salve on it and wrap with vet rap so the dirt don't stick to it. you'll have to change it everyday.Our chicken has all the toes missing from one foot and the other completely gone . They get around just fine.

Frostbite is usually on their toes. I've had chickens lose their feet to frostbite but never had it just localized on the bottoms of their feet?

With frostbite it's a slow process...you will notice swollen, puffy looking toes which will eventually turn black and then grayish before falling off.
